Switch models per task without switching apps — from Meituan's GN06 research team.
Tabbit's angle is model choice inside the browser. It ships with ten-plus LLMs available natively, so the model becomes a per-task decision — a cheap fast one for form filling, a frontier one for the reasoning-heavy extraction — without maintaining separate subscriptions or moving between apps. Everyone else in the category either picks a model for you (Comet) or asks you to bring your own (Aside).
It comes out of GN06, an internal research group at Meituan, and reached V1.0 in June 2026 after a long public beta. That provenance is worth naming plainly for a US-based firm evaluating it for confidential work: know where inference runs and under which jurisdiction before pointing it at portfolio-company material, per the data-handling rule in Orientation: Agent-Native Browsers.
Most interesting as a benchmark of how fast this category is commoditizing — multi-model support arriving as a shipped feature within a year of the category existing at all.
