Why this exists

A surprising number of VCs were software people first. The instinct to build doesn't go away when you start writing checks — but the time and the permission often do. Hack & Ship is the permission. A standing place where building something small and real is the first-order activity, not a hobby tucked between meetings.

The bet is that VCs who keep building stay sharper diligence partners, faster portfolio collaborators, and more credible advocates for the founders they back.

What we share

  • Build show-and-tells — short demos of whatever's in flight.

  • Shippable artifacts — internal tools, scripts, prototypes, tiny SaaS — anything that solves something specific.

  • Project work — currently centered on MemoPop AI (investment memos drafted alongside diligence rather than after).

How we meet

Cadence: TBD — likely a recurring "build + show" rhythm. Bring whatever you've shipped or pushed since last time.

Who this is for

VCs (or VC-adjacent platform people) who want to maintain a building practice. No qualification required beyond willingness to ship something — even something small — and show it.
